Award of Distinction
Camp 2243 is very active in community service. Their many projects include a scholarship fund for high school students and cleaning old cemeteries, noting that one member mapped a cemetery with 900 graves. A kiosk placed by them near Cosby commemorates a battle at Shultz Mill and the story of a quilt buried to protect it from Union forces.
