2013 Professional Achievement and Community History Award
For commitment and excellence “without parallel” in preserving and promoting the history of Oak Ridge. A small sampling of his many accomplishments includes service as the official historian for the Y-12 National Security Complex, twice-weekly columns in the local paper, photo books on various subjects, an award-winning documentary miniseries, oversight of the renovation of the Y-12 History Center and website, a photo mural timeline for the Y-12 National Security Complex, and serving as a general ambassador for Oak Ridge and the region.
