Seeking Eden: An Exploration of Garden History at Blount Mansion

You are invited to join the Blount Mansion on Saturday morning, May 11, 2019, for a special event highlighting the beautiful gardens at Blount Mansion. At 10:30 a.m., Staci Catron, Director of the Cherokee Garden Library at Atlanta History Center, will give a presentation about her new book, Seeking Eden: A Collection of Georgia’s Historic Gardens. Afterwards, you will enjoy a box lunch followed by a tour of Blount Mansion and Craighead-Jackson gardens.

Catron was acquainted with Edith Henderson, the pioneering female landscape architect who designed the garden behind the Craighead-Jackson House, and curates Henderson’s papers. The presentation will include information about Henderson’s work here.
